Exactly. This is a terrible idea. I'm fairly certain that anyone caught doing this would be immediately fired at some companies.
Risking sounding like a broken record, I always suggest Tiny/Mini/Micro 1L form factor office PCs. Lenovo, Dell, and HP all create ultra small office PCs that make great low power servers. A Pi will use 5-9w at idle, while these PCs will use 11-13w idle. They also use more standard components such as NVME drives, 2.5" drives, and replaceable RAM. Easy to find under $100 USD used, I'm sure you can find them under 100 euro.
I would be interested, depending on the price. Closed shell design means it can be tossed into a bag without worrying about scratching the screen.
Kei trucks can put the sides of the bed down, leaving a completely flat cargo surface. Depending on the model, the bed is 4-6ft long and 3.5-4.5ft wide with the sides up.
Part of the point is that a kei truck can do a good chunk of small utility trips without being gigantic or bad on gas.
Musk is actively promoting stuff like this. By continuing to interact with the platform you bring more attention to this garbage. Twitter died as soon as Musk took over.
It supposedly uses Bing and several other search results while suppressing content mills. I'm open to using anything though, DDG just happens to be the more privacy oriented one I went with.
Oh no, guess the people using Windows at home will have to just settle for using the easily found Microsoft Activation Scripts!
So they aren't giving up on trying to find an eco-friendly production method, they just found one way that doesn't work out. It is nice to hear that they're trying though.
If it's your own machine, I recommend running one of the Windows 11 debloaters.
I've moved all of my personal machines over to Linux (specifically Ubuntu). Windows just isn't worth it anymore.
This is the dumbest reason to fire a teacher. The education system is already hurting for teachers.
It depends on the version, but yes, it does. It's especially a problem on prebuilt machines and laptops. It is incredibly annoying to work with in a corporate environment. Our helpdesk tech comes to me with issues related to this probably three times a week. I gave up with work arounds and we just have a throwaway Microsoft account now.
Not surprising. Restaurants have become even more expensive and people already don't have money to waste. Plus many of us are remote or hybrid.
