This is for the older version though, IIRC
Edit: Ah, it seems I missed Automattic acquiring Pocket Casts. Would make sense they're open source, since Automattic is a fully open source company.

That's expensive compared to the first gen one!
Kind of ironic how their CEO mentioned good phones needn't be expensive during the hype for the NP1 launch.
Which Lemmy apps have you tried?
I've tried Jerboa, and WefWef in particular. I like both – Jerboa is a native client built using Jetpack Compose, and WefWef is built using Ionic and can be used on any device as a Progressive Web App.
Do you have any favourites? If so, what sets them apart from the others?
WefWef is definitely the best one I've tried. The interface is really nice, but it's probably only a stop gap for me until I finish working on the Material You client I'm working on (which will again be a PWA so that it's easy for everyone to use on all their devices).
As for what sets WefWef apart is that it's the only feature complete Lemmy client with a somewhat half decent UX (Apple's HIG is actually pretty bad compared to Material).
Are there any upcoming apps you're looking forward to releasing?
Yes, an initial launch of a working version of the Material You client I'm working on. Also Sync, Boost, and the rest of the old Reddit clients.
What other functionality would you like to see from a Lemmy app?
Honestly, the one thing I'm absolutely missing is good UX patterns and proper mod tools. Since there is no AutoModerator equivalent on Lemmy, most posts go live and could break rules of a community. Currently, none of the apps have good mod tools, and having good tools for moderation on the go is absolutely essential in growing a healthy community.
This looks great, pity I have turned to Plexamp and can't go back to any other music player now...apart from Phonograph
I am doubtful of that IPO happening TBH.
True. My problem has been finding someone with RCS enabled TBH. Either their operator doesn't support it yet, or they use an iPhone and it just goes as a normal SMS.
Honestly, I'm just waiting for them to drop support for this app at some point and focus on another messaging app.
Messages has been a great experience when I can find someone who also uses RCS, however.
I wonder when he lost his way
When he went against his initial principle of "let's not make money through advertising on Reddit"
This whole thing the way it was handled by Huffman, was simply the worst way in which it could be handled. But I must say that he really does have an excellent read of the Reddit users.
I don't have Android Auto in my car, but I've used it on my mates cars. It's...nice, but I prefer something with physical buttons that provide tactile feedback.
Most of the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay units I've interacted with are pretty underpowered and the voice interface doesn't even work like it's meant to.
Finally! Being forced to use Google Voice on Android Auto has driven me crazy, I'll be honest.
Yeah, their Google Photos free forever stunt put me off Google services. These days, I've taken my contact, and calendar syncing on a self-hosted Nextcloud instance. My notes have shifted from Google to Nextcloud Notes. For Photos, Nextcloud Photos is unfortunately not up to par, so I have a Photoprism instance set up to provide the same functionality, but under my control.
If at all possible, you should definitely give Nextcloud a try!
I'd actually forgotten it existed TBH. I haven't used many Google apps since ages, and that gesture only works on Google apps. Never seen other apps make use of that either.
