Growing up in the 90s it was easy to think that we were making progress. And maybe to some degree we were. I could look back to Roe vs Wade, and also see the freedoms gained in the LGBTQ community in real time. Then Tim turned the Internet on, and I slowly became aware of every horrific man-made catastrophe from every corner of the world. Now we here in the USA, as a country, we are supporting actual genocide: something I naïvely thought was relegated to the history books. What is wrong with humans? Just an advanced species of warring apes I guess. This is why I like to pretend to believe in aliens. A sort of savior complex. Maybe we all do need a brain implant to control our aggressive and murderous tendencies. How does an entire nation(Israel) become convinced they are right to genocide an entire population(Palestine)?
