They were outraged when he did completely normal things. That’s their default state in order to paint themselves as victims. Once they’ve done that, they can get away with anything.

Kind of like when you go to a grocery store and see their generic brand, but it has really awesome packaging, so you buy that instead.

Publix is a great example of this.
