i cannot possibly justify kernel level anticheat. cheating in games is just not that serious, sorry. there are much smarter ways to tackle that and i certainly don't have evidence for this by any means but i've always assumed that kernel level anticheat is just spyware being justified by saying it's to stop cheating in multiplayer games. insane to me that people are willing to play games w it.

i feel like we're at the point where this extends now beyond privacy and is just about not dilluting human beings into bytes of information to be bought and sold on the stock market like it's just about basic human rights at this point

well they're definitely in a different tax bracket than me so that alone already makes me apprehensive. but i fucking love cars. hate them realistically. like i would love to live in an actually walkable place and in so many ways our reliance on cars is literally ruining everything that makes the world beautiful or even habitable. but goddamn, i love rally i love f1 i love supercars even. at least they're not out here actually being rich assholes making people's lives worse for the money to get their dream cars but, isn't that the goal for a lot of them?

just like the gaming industry telling you 60fps is too low and your GTX series graphics card is inadequate today. but despite this i, amazingly, get by just fine. it's literally just blatant consumerism.

i've literally never considered decomps/recomps not being available to linux before now. feel pretty short sighted for that, that's a crazy thing to think about. i tend to stay attached to media long after i've outgrown actually interacting with the source material and viva piñata is one of those cases. playing the games themselves tend to drive me insane, it's just super frustrating for me w my ADHD. but gods do i love it. i love pretty much everything Rare did back then tho tbf lol.
