Tbf the conflicts American(I can't speak on Canada but it's not that different) are just completely ignorant about are Vietnam and Korea. Like people will be like this guy but fail to make the connection that the current Vietnamese state is literally the north Vietnamese government. People will in the same breath hate both north Vietnam and like Vietnam now. It's incoherent but I think it's less malicious than the Ukraine neo Nazi stuff from politicians that are just turning up to constituent events.
