Carney was asked why the Liberal party hasn’t dropped candidate Paul Chiang for his comments about Conservative candidate Joe Tay.

“The comments were deeply offensive,” said Carney. “This was a terrible lapse of judgment by Mr. Chiang. He has apologized for those comments.”

The Liberal leader added that he spoke to Chiang over the weekend to “understand his position.”

“He is a veteran policeman,” with more than a quarter-century of service to his community, said Carney.

“He will continue with his candidacy going forward, having made those apologies very clearly to the individual, to the community, and moving forward to serve,” said Carney, adding that Chiang is a “person of integrity” who “has my confidence.”

I don't know if the message was that identity twists are "bad," so much as a bit of a deconstruction of what "importance" is.

And in all fairness, the Mrs. Flood mystery was very present even at that time.

No lies detected.

If it hadn't been for the "Mrs Flood will be in every episode" bit, I may not have shared it at all.

I do admire RTD's dedication to hype, though.

I've liked what Carney has said outside of the campaign - in his meetings with European leaders, he's been talking about this new status quo we find ourselves in as a permanent change in the global order, rather than a four-year blip.

On the campaign trail? I can't say that he's been particularly inspiring so far.

Based on the time of her death and new information about where her remains were placed, police said they believe Shingoose's remains were taken to Winnipeg's Brady Road landfill in March 2022.

Police said they've reached out to city and provincial leadership to start discussions about doing a humanitarian search for Shingoose's remains — a search they said they support and are committed to being part of, though discussions about what that search could look like are still in early stages.

The video's pretty light on details on the model, aside from what it's made of, but Memory Alpha has some info on it.

Hey, whatever it takes to make it in the biz.

Hence, "for what it's worth."

Polling methodologies are pretty flawed in many ways, but this is what we have to go on right now.

For what it's worth, 338 Canada considers the riding an NDP/Liberal toss-up right now.

I'm not one to tell people whether they should vote strategically, because I have a lot of misgivings about the concept myself.

Just...do your best out there.

Sure, but I think...

Smith was, let's remember, a media pundit in her past career(s) — known to workshop or test-drive different ideas or theories live on air. Rhetorical spaghetti flung on the wall.

...covers that pretty effectively.

I don't think so. It delves a little into "politics as sports," which I never appreciate, but Jason Markusoff isn't prone to carrying water for Smith or the UCP.

Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play?

Based on your description, I don't think your father would have qualified for MAID in its current form - recipients must be able to provide informed consent immediately before receiving medical assistance in dying, with very narrow exceptions.
