What does any of this have to do with the Democrats being the correct choice in 2024 and being the correct choice in the next two elections if we have them?

There are still people advocating for not voting after it is now clear that was the wrong choice.

(Voted for her too, btw, I’m mad her rhetoric didn’t let me bring friends)

If that's not you then you shouldn't have a problem with this.

And if we don’t?

Then voting wont be an option.

We've had real primaries since 2008.

What does that have to with anything? Harris was never under any obligation to follow that instruction once she became president.

The people who fed these talking points to Americans were Russian bot farms. Harris is not a life long Zionist. Biden is.

Biden had single-handedly been undermining US foreign policy since he was vice president. He undercut the US position in a private call with Benjamin Netanyahu when the US was trying to leverage Israel into behaving. edit: typo

At this crucial juncture, Biden undercut Obama again. After Clinton’s ultimatum, the vice president—who was still traveling in the Middle East—contacted Netanyahu himself. In their book Our Separate Ways: The Struggle for the Future of the U.S.-Israel Alliance, Dana Allin and Steve Simon describe Biden’s discussion with the Israeli prime minister as “a conciliatory call” that had the effect of “undercutting Clinton and reinforcing Israel’s generally dismissive approach to the administration’s periodically tough messaging.” An administration official remembers being “astonished” upon seeing the transcript of the conversation: “Biden completely undercut the secretary of state and gave Bibi a strong indication that whatever was being planned in Washington was hotheadedness and he could defuse it when he got back.” When Clinton saw the transcript, the official recalls, she “realized she’d been thrown under the bus.”

The context matters. That doesn't mean it has the right to exist as an apartheid state. She wants a two state solution. Which should be the goal.

No amount of misquoting is getting anyone out of the fact she was the correct choice in 2024.

I dug through my comment history to find this. It has plenty of links.

I read it. Democrats will keep playing the left for fools and moving to the right, no matter what happens.

No Bernie's campaign and Warren's campaign drove Biden to the left on a whole host of issues, including labor unions.

There was no daylight between her and Biden on Netanyahu’s genocide.

Don't lie.

This comment said it best and lists calls for a ceasefire from Harris.

She’s taken a stance, multiple times. The left doesn’t want to hear it.

March - https://www.npr.org/2024/03/04/1234822836/kamala-harris-benny-gantz-gaza-cease-fire-israel-hamas

July - https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/25/harris-netanyahu-israel-cease-fire-00171315

Harris promised to do everything in her power to end the war in Gaza.

“This year has been difficult, given the scale of death and destruction in Gaza and given the civilian casualties and displacement in Lebanon, it is devastating. And as president, I will do everything in my power to end the war in Gaza, to bring home the hostages, end the suffering in Gaza, ensure Israel is secure, and ensure the Palestinian people can realise their right to dignity, freedom, security and self-determination,” Harris said to applause during a rally in East Lansing city of Michigan, home to 200,000 Arab Americans.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/11/4/harris-says-will-end-gaza-war-in-final-election-appeal-to-arab-americans

Unlike Biden, Harris was not a life long Zionist.

When Joe Biden met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet during his visit to Israel, the U.S. president assured them: “I don’t believe you have to be a Jew to be a Zionist, and I am a Zionist.”

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/i-am-zionist-how-joe-bidens-lifelong-bond-with-israel-shapes-war-policy-2023-10-21/

Harris wasn't perfect. And that was simply not good enough for some people who didn't want to risk their hands getting dirty. Even if it meant the Palestinians becoming the cost of doing business.

I voted for Harris and the election is over. That doesn’t mean I’m going to pretend that she wasn’t as committed to Netanyahu’s genocide as Biden was.

Good for you. I appreciate it. No need to spread propaganda though.

If we have another election vote in it. Vote for the Democrat candidates. Fill out the ballot with a pen. No larping fan fiction necessary.

It's not subjective. That's an obvious lie. Everyone is being harmed more under Trump than they would be under Harris.

People needed to vote for the not fascist candidate in a choice between a not fascist candidate and a fascist candidate.

It's not hard. Learn the lesson or die to fascists. People will be too dead to be alienated.

[–] ToastedPlanet@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No it was people who didn't want to vote for Kamala Harris. Everyone who doesn't work at the DNC needs to learn that lesson. Everyone who works at the DNC has a different set of lessons to learn. Like be a socialist and abandon neoliberalism.

The fact that we had a choice of someone other than Biden was incredible from a political standpoint. It's laughable more people weren't jumping at the chance to elect the candidate who wasn't a lifelong, diehard Zionist.

It's one of the only things we have left to do so we better hope it makes a difference.

The right never gets any shit for using their key boards to advocate for murdering us all and it seems pretty effective for them.

The majority of people who didn't vote for Harris don't care about Gaza. They're just larping on the internet.

She wasn't a zionist and wanted to end the war. It was a clear cut decision, but it was a brown and black sacrifice people were willing to make for their moral purity.

Yes. People internalize the flaws of their society as virtues and then iterate on those flaws to make an even worse society.

We need to point all of this out to people now so our choices in the next two elections aren't neoliberals promoting abundance and fascists. Assuming we still have fair and free elections.

First the squirrel, now the mouse. One thing is clear: it’s not safe out here for side characters from niche Disney movies. This week, Ravensburger announced the first two cards going on the Disney Lorcana banlist - and if you’ve seen any recent tournament results, these shouldn’t come as a surprise. Sapphire card draw engine Hiram Flaversham, Toymaker and Steel one-cost item Fortisphere are no longer legal in the Core Constructed format, effective immediately.

  • Latest Release: Archazia's Island – March 7, 2025
  • Reign Of Jafar – May 30, 2025
  • Fabled – Q3 2025

The game’s unforgettable art required equally talented artists, so we caught up with Kenneth Anderson, Lisanne Koeteeuw and Aubrey Archer to explore their roles in crafting the Inklands.

Thanks to some outrageously powerful new cards in Lorcana’s new Archazia’s Island set, I now have a legion of Sapphire haters who finally understand what I’ve been moaning about for the last two years. Sapphire just went from strong and frustrating to totally out of control on the power scale, and now I’m worried about how much psychic damage I’m going to have to take playing Lorcana over the next 12 weeks.

I for one welcome our new Sapphire Overlords. Items and the Sapphire color in particular were underpowered for the longest time. It's good to hear the meta shaking up even if it isn't this guy's cup of tea.

The Senate on Friday approved a Republican bill to fund federal agencies through September, averting a government shutdown hours before the midnight deadline after Democrats relented.

The bill passed the Senate in a 54-46 vote, overcoming steep Democratic opposition. On Saturday, Donald Trump signed it into law, the White House said.

The seventh set to Disney Lorcana brings more story, new dual-ink card mechanics, and plenty of beautiful secret Enchanted cards. Disney Lorcana: Archazia's Island includes 18 of the special variety of cards with full artwork that have an artistic design theme which is unique to the set. These cards go above the traditionally numbered cards in the set, which stop at 204, and are incredibly rare and collectible, often being valued over $100 per card.

The first images of Lorcana's Reign Of Jafar expansion have revealed a new Illumineer's Quest set.

The new Illumineer's Quest is called Palace Heist and will pit players against the iconic Aladdin villian.

Palace Heist is only the second Illumineer's Quest set, joining the one included in 2024's Ursula's Return expansion.

The latest set in Disney Lorcana, Archazia's Island, will launch later this March, but the decklists for the two new starter decks have been released. Like previous Lorcana set releases, Archazia's Island will feature two Starter Decks: Amethyst & Steel and Ruby & Sapphire.

Archazia’s Island is Disney Lorcana’s seventh expansion and features characters from Bolt, Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, and 101 Dalmatians.

Continuing the oceanic theme established by Azurite Sea, Archazia’s Island will be primarily focused on the beloved animal characters from the franchises mentioned above. Additionally, Archazia’s Island is the first set to feature Dual-Ink cards.

Below you’ll find a gallery containing every card previewed (so far) from Archazia’s Island. This gallery will be updated with the unveiling of each new card, so be sure to bookmark and check back frequently!

Ever since we revealed our good friend Bolt, many of you have speculated that dual-ink cards were coming to Disney Lorcana TCG, and you were right!

When the first character for Disney Lorcana’s upcoming Archazia’s Island set was revealed, it sparked a debate throughout the TCG community. Lorcana’s introduction of Bolt, star of the 2008 animated film of the same name, seemed to have the visual identity of both Amber and Steel characters. Many immediately suspected what we eventually learned: Archazia’s Island will introduce dual-ink cards to the game.
