What's wrong with a 12 year old texting their friends? I had unfettered internet access by then and I turned out fine.

Why wouldn't they want that? Why wouldn't anyone want that?!

Like what happens to it in warm water?

I can barely get anything to run on Mint, but it probably has more to do with the fact my desktop is 14 years old and I refuse to put any money into upgrading it.

Youtube is pushing new social media features where they try to track who shares videos with whom, then attempts to connect you like twitter mutuals.

You should reread their comment, you agree with each other.

That's our secret, Captain. We're all interested in any job. Any interaction you have that suggests otherwise is specifically designed to make you feel that way.

No, the door of a residential bathroom has a specific purpose, besides the normal door-related ones. It's a vacant/occupied sign.

I have 2 points in response. First off, fuck cover letters. I don't care if I'm applying to be CEO as an outside hire, you can get a feel for my personality at the interview, not through a sycophantic writing exercise. Second, I thought references were only allowed to confirm the dates you worked at a company, but that might depend on the region, I guess.

OLED Dark Mode? (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by TheTetrapod@lemmy.world to c/boostforlemmy@lemmy.world

I was just wondering if there was any intention of bringing an OLED friendly dark mode (like, just a pitch black background) to Boost for Lemmy? I'm pretty sure there was one on the Reddit version, and I've always preferred the aesthetic, although admittedly my battery goes further than it used to.

EDIT: After seeing spiffpitt's comment, I did a couple seconds more investigation than the other 10 times I've checked in the last 2 years. The AMOLED dark mode is available under "Customize Colors", which is greyed out if "Dynamic Colors" is checked.
