Yeah, that's how I would interpret the phrase "I do pilates these days." It's like you're catching up with an old friend and telling them a new piece of information since you were last in touch.

It's not a construction that I would use often, but it definitely makes sense to me. Kind of a synonym for "these days."

They just don't want some restaurant to fill a Kikkoman bottle with, I don't know, motor oil and then have people complaining about how awful their soy sauce is.

Yeah, you're supposed to eat them in the dead of night, paring pieces off like an apple and eating them off the knife.

Do you think discard would work well, since you're not actually using it for (much) leavening?

It kind of looks like Stitch is swallowing a possum tail first.

Isn't there like a 20-30 IQ point (I know, I know) spread between average intelligence and intellectual disability? I always assumed stupid falls into that area.

I would hardly describe online pollsters as scientists. Science, y'know, matters.

I'm constantly surprised that Obama was president until 2016. It feels like a lifetime ago.

OLED Dark Mode? (lemmy.world)
submitted 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) by TheTetrapod@lemmy.world to c/boostforlemmy@lemmy.world

I was just wondering if there was any intention of bringing an OLED friendly dark mode (like, just a pitch black background) to Boost for Lemmy? I'm pretty sure there was one on the Reddit version, and I've always preferred the aesthetic, although admittedly my battery goes further than it used to.

EDIT: After seeing spiffpitt's comment, I did a couple seconds more investigation than the other 10 times I've checked in the last 2 years. The AMOLED dark mode is available under "Customize Colors", which is greyed out if "Dynamic Colors" is checked.
