Does it feel outdated ? I watched tge trailer and it feels pretty old . Don't get me wrong some of my favourite movies are the one's before 2000s like fight club , taxi driver, . Etc . But this feels old compared to them even though it isn't . Do share your spoiler less thoughts . I mean the resolution and camera works look janky atleast from the trailer it does. And most importantly does it contain any plot holes. Attatched a trailer in case someone needs it.

Wanted to know if there are any other android apps with features like telegram such as sending ,recieving big files creating channels etc. Using a bot or channel in telegram to pirate movies and series are infinitely easier than torrenting . But as telegram is not fully open source and requires a phone number to create an account i am looking to see if there are any better alternatives which aldready does have a piracy ring like telegram . If you know any share . I am asking this here because i think it is the right sub and i can't find an alternative anywhere on the web . If it isn't the sub for this i will delete the post if you request so in the comments.

EDIT : It seems everyone missed my questions point i don't want a privacy focused app like telegram to chat i want a app that is privacy focused but can also help me pirate media .

Is there any plan to fix that . Does that mean our deleted posts and coments are really not deleted from server or is it something like will take time but will eventually get deleted . Is this issue aldready adressed ? Using jerboa btw.

EDIT : Is it a jerboa issue or lemmy's anyway can someone with a github account open up an issue i don't have one . I think it's a lemmy issue because there are other apps with the same issue and a malfunctioning app can't do that if lemmy didn't have the problem in the first place. And i can even read a deleted users whole comment history .

Me after creating a meme and starting a political debate on memes sub "what have i done".I HATE MY CREATION for the record.

I mean i understand some matches may be fixed but when two popular players fight would any of them want to be the loser ? And the damage looks very real or is the only fixed thing the outcome ? Maybe someone from the industrty can answer . Or am i missing something if so put it into the comments and i'll edit the post.

Github isn't good enough . Everyone should look for more privacy , security based alternatives and support them . You should not give big corpos any more of your money . Besides it goes against every fiber of ethics of foss dev's . I know most people will not agree with me because it's hard to make the switch or github is the standard , more popular better logic but it doesn't make sense because foss is there for privacy, security reasons and why would you host it all on one of the biggest and greediest corp of all time ? If you are building foss may as well take a little more effort and put it anywhere else maybe it'll be cheaper too but definetly better in privacy , security functions and may grow or is aldready depending on what you are choosing better than github.

EDIT: To people who are saying this isn't an unpopular opinion it isn't on lemmy ( because we are privacy focused ) but it is everywhere else why do you think why a very , very large amount of people still use github.

I understand the problem with server overloading and the problems with hosting big database etc. But can't we host short , compressed videos with just good enough quality . Like some of the high quality gifs on lemmy is much ,much bigger than the kind of videos i described . Or am i missing something ? I do understand the issues but then why do they allow big gifs is it because people wouldn't post much gifs but everyone and their dog will post videos if allowed ? I am saying if 5 mb is the max size of gif you allow set that as videos limit too . AND I NOT AT ALL AM ASKING FOR VIDEOS ON LEMMY JUST ASKING A QUESTION . I IN NO WAY WANT VIDEOS ON LEMMY BECAUSE I KNOW HOW THAT WOULD IMPACT THE INSTANCE HOSTERS . My understanding is thanos didn't use any power of infinity stones in the infinity war fight and hulk wasn't previously injured very badly . He almost seemed to easy to be knocked down why ? Shouldn't he have grown stronger because he is angry because everyone is dying and he is getying beat up ?

EDIT : It seems as no one understood what i was talking about and maybe its my fault for not elaborating . I always thought chicken was a metaphor for this paradox and not really meaning chicken as a specific spiece . So my question is how did the ancestor of chicken came to be if it was born (egg) wouldn't it need a parent or if it was a parent (chicken ) woudn't it need to be born ? Or did all the creatures start out as bacteria and climbed out from ocean through evalution if so why isn't any new species being born this way or am i missing something ?
