What baffles me about Trump supporters is that they were all told that tariffs mean we get paid more by other countries. They believed it. They didn’t believe it would cause a trade war or increased prices. Then they are told, yeah, we lied, tariffs will increase prices and will cause a trade war. And they’re like: fuck yeah! We’ll win this trade war!

They will believe anything, even after being lied to, and will change their political stance based on whatever he is currently saying. How anyone lives so mindlessly is beyond me.

Because propaganda hits harder. They have empathy for the poor kids that are being forced to be transgender and gay by their parents. They have empathy for the people losing their jobs and being raped by immigrants.
