Ads are not the only reason, but if you're still on reddit, you clearly missed the point why reddit became popular.

If you're not a billionaire and against this, you're pretty much a moron and if you're thinking one day you'll be a billionaire, you won't be based on your thought process alone.

There's no sensible reason why anyone should have no resistance accumulating that much wealth to themselves. It isn't infinite money for everyone, essentially you're taking it from others. Yes, some fools kind of deserve or are themselves at blame for parting from their own money, but if there are no stops, it doesn't motivate others from making sure they create methods to keep doing this to others. All to gain, nothing to lose.

Trump isn't even pro palestinian and if he's not clarifying this, goes to show.

Iran, such a innocent country, the regime, victims of the evil west...

When I read the title I just imagined how society there is stuck in the medieval ages.. just a sad state of affairs..

As others have mentioned, others get far worse, being hung from cranes on a daily bases, most of them Kurds for seeking their freedoms.

This is like saying people enjoy breathing, this is why health insurance companies exist..

Agreed, people enjoy working, if by working you mean being productive, building, creating, especially inventing something.

You can have two worlds where in one there is manipulative people holding all the wealth, doing nothing or in another where it's fair.

Sometime ago someone decided it's easier to manipulate others to do something and a snowball effect occured.

Some here asking who are or would still vote for them, well in their eyes, they don't want to feed YOUR kid(s), they believe their kids are well fed. Only when when they are in need will they have empathy.

Nice and all, but pretty pointless if you stay there after.

[-] Savas@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Sounds nice, can you tell me what they are exactly?

Oops, corrected, thanks. Was thinking half a million, ended up typing 500 and then a million.

Philips has a net worth in the billions, $20.67 billion as of July 12, 2023. (Source link) Yet they decided to create a kickstarter, charging "early bird" buyers these earphones that's designed for wearing while sleeping, basically the same as any other earphones, just slimmed down and cables running around your head.

What's infuriating is that there's dumbasses who actually gave them money to make a product ($500k ~~million~~ in total), so Philips is most likely not taking any risk making this, but will enjoy the profits.

The kickstarter - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kokoon/sleep-headphones/posts

I thought the whole point of a kickstarter was people with a product, but lacking the funds to get the project actually going getting a kick start to get going.... Not for billion dollar companies to beg for cash.

Maybe ironically with the prices dropping on these people will actually buy them..

Sad really, but the issue, as someone as mentioned already is they were too expensive.

I don't know how someone can remember secure passwords without a password manager.. My password manager 10 years ago was basically a text file. Moving to Bitwarden from LastPass the only thing I miss is easily creating a folder when saving a new credential.
