The standard for a Mary Sue character has gone way up too. The Japanese really figured out the formula with isikais where the protagonist is almost always good at everything or OP in some way, but the writing/world building is better. There are enough gems amongst the garbage that people know what a good one should contain now.

You've just misunderstood what freedom of speech is. The government won't jail you for your opinions. You can say whatever you want that isn't a threat or call to violence.

Let's be real though. That's why people get to call you names when they disagree with you. They also have that same protected speech.

Protesting is a thing you are doing while exercising your free speech. However, you can be doing 2 things at once. Exercising your free speech while committing the crime of trespassing, etc. That one right doesn't make you legally immune to anything else you're doing.

Of course, people commit crimes while protesting to give their protest some teeth, and in some cases to bring attention to the law they might be protesting. But you should be prepared to be fined and arrested during spicy protests. People sitting in the road acting shocked they get hit and dragged away just make me feel like I'm looking at too many shocked Pikachus. You should expect it. That's why you are there. If you didn't face violence you aren't really showing how strongly you feel. That's what it means to stand against opposition.

Or, the lazier method would be they just don't throw away their first pours which are full of methanol and so 3 or 4 bottles from each batch are poison. This can easily happen with someone who just doesn't know what they are doing trying to not waste product.

The simplicity of that explanation makes it feel more likely to me.

I wouldn't be surprised to discover horses are better cared for now than when the coin was termed. We just understand nutrition better these days for both humans and animals. And we don't beat our animals like they did back then either.

Mom brain. Judging by the ages of the kids in the image she hasn't slept well for years.

Well...duh. The only reason we knew her was because she was OJs murdered wife. It's not like there's any actual reason to remember her outside that context if you didn't know her personally.

Leaf blower or strong fan to the face to help your tears wash away the papper spray is best relief. It feels better while it's blowing in your face too.

Kinda easier to handle while you are panicking and your vision is impaired too.

Interestingly, if you look at the menu for Juneteenth, it doesn't include fried chicken. The only chicken is a dry rub chicken that wouldn't be fried. So your evidence confirms they believe fried chicken is in fact not appropriate for Junteenth. That's a good reference point if we all accept that the national museum of African American history is an authority on such matters.

I feel like these should be used as a sort of honey pot. If your police department buys one of these, fire everyone and start over from scratch.

Facial recognition still struggles with really bad mistakes that are always bad optics for the business that uses it. I'm amazed anyone is still willing to use it in its current form.

It's been the norm that these systems can't tell the difference between people of dark pigmentation if it even acknowledges it's seeing a person at all.

Running a system with a decade long history or racist looking mistakes is bonkers in the current climate.
