I feel like there's a difference between constructive criticism for a dm and outright shifting on their attempt. I feel the group did the latter
RedC
I wont lie about still being a bit salty, especially since it was our 3rd round with new dm, the group had a few people (me as well) who wanted to dm. So we kinda took turns. I played through the good and bad of the other campaigns, dont care still had fun. I just dont know what changed when it was my turn.
Its easier to paint all gun owners as reckless at best, criminals at worst, when you have dumbasses like this walking around. Truth is, the vast majority of american gun owners I've met have been strict followers of the 4 rules. If I ever meet someone who isn't, they immediately become strangers after I leave the situation. Ill try to correct behavior, but not everyone is receptive. Thats where common sense gun laws would be great to have, like proving competency with a firearm and the safety rules especially, every year if you want a ccw. Unfortunately, the ccw in my state is an online course with 10 questions at the end, and fees and a waiting list to get your physical card. I could (and did, but did not carry until confident with my setup) get this ccw without ever having fired the gun I intend to carry, much less handled it safely.
Also, for people less familiar, if you are ever handed a firearm, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CLEAR IT YOURSELF. Just because someone clears it in front of you, does not make it clear. I dont care if the person field strips it in front of me, the first thing im doing after they hand it to me is clearing it myself.
Gun owners reading maybe? Please be more reponsible/safe with your firearms. Be as safe as you think you should, then be a little safer. There's countless little things to work on, like not breaching the fire line or responsible clearing before leave line. We all take a huge responsibility when we decide to carry concealed. You have to delete your ego, you can't be short fused. There's no room for prejudice, or stupidity. You alone are responsible for what comes out of your weapon, and if the responsibility is shrugged off, tragic things happen that you have to live with. Don't mess around, stay sharp.
Treat EVERY GUN as if its loaded (imagine that rounds can magically appear if you set it down or take eyes off, because they sometimes do!) Keep your finger off the trigger until ready and safe to fire. (Keep your booger hook off the bang switch!) Do not point your firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy (whether youre firing or not, whether its loaded or not) Fully know your target and all things behind it(bullets have a tendency to keep going)
I got roasted so hard by my last group when I tried to first time dm tyranny of dragons (to be fair, the first part of it is combat heavy and I didn't handle it as well as I could have) and it triggered my anxiety about it so hard that I dropped from the group and havent played in 5 years
I mean I think its cool too! The amount of time I've had to drive with a drink between my legs because of not enough cup holders is crazy, its super cool that it not only fits all the drinks, but the carrier as well. Less of a chance of spillage. Stuff like this wouldve been a gamechanger when I was doing food delivery gig work
Any streaming piracy site is def the worst, like bingewatch.tv
Just use adblockers
Damn yall are openly hostile towards this OP who just wanted to share something they thought was cool. Im glad none of yall have ever ridden in a vehicle that's oversized for what you need and have never not once drank anything from a paper or plastic cup. Good for you.
Coca cola down the street from my house dumps tons and tons of pollution into the air, water, and land of America with their manufacturing, but this guy is the problem.
Just being supportive like we all are going through this together right? Also those transfems lived as a man at one point in their lives, probly heard a lot of lessons about "being a man", may even have had a father that imparted the basic man skills. Just like transfems will listen to advice from women or transmasc, its all valid and helpful. For a group so prone to self deletes and just general loneliness and depression, extreme anxiety, and not being able to connect with people or their community depending on if theyre out or how deep in the closet they are, I feel strongly that this post just perpetuates that we are different and therefore dont belong in the same space. The transfems that see this and internalize it are now more likely to not engage with the rest of the community because their advice isn't valued, their presence isn't necessary, and their opinion invalidated because they made the decision to transition.
There's already enough culture war bulls bullshit and real world threats of violence in the trans community and it doesn't need to be furthered by a some culture war bull inside of the community.
And to every transfem (transmasc too!) You matter, your opinion matters, just because you no longer live that life does not mean you dont know anything about it. You belong in this space as much as anyone and people who react like this to someone just trying to be helpful have their own hangups.
Personally, I would welcome transmasc advice anyway because they probly know how to do makeup and I could use help. I mean, doesn't that knowledge still apply? Like my knowledge of shaving, repair work (cars and such) beard maintenance, weightlifting, interacting with cis men etc etc?
Me saying Alec Baldwin was responsible for what he did, and should've faced consequences for it. Downvotes aplenty, but I stand by my belief
Imagine a world where they extend that new sideload rule to "android for pc". Then they get pc manufacturers to start pushing arm procs instead of normal pc procs. Then all new arm computers come standard with "android for pc", with a locked down bootloader. They become popular because of the tech illiterate who enjoy the fact their pc works the same as their phone. They take over the market with these android pc's.
Then we long for the days of windows, and preloaded linux on new computers becomes even rarer. Remind me in 5 years when im right
The proposal itself shouldnt be a surprise, when it happens should.
Like, you should know they want to marry you before you do it. But the whole ceremony of a formal proposal can and should be left a surprise!
