I was going to say this about old Windows programs, like Dope Wars, however the original developer carried it over to the app store and it can be bought for a dollar.

AI as I'm seeing it, is just a very glorified search engine/artificial companion that talks to you. I see it as no different than how we slap "smart" on devices and appliances. All because they now have screens, apps and a couple extra functions. AI is only as good in prolonged periods, as in, continually feeding it information, as experienced in my time with both Grok and ChatGPT.

I see its benefits, but I still do not find it a universal solve-all for everyday problems. It's a great tool - if strictly used as a tool. The problem, are unsurprisingly the individuals who have nothing but malicious or at times obliviously nuanced intent with the use of AI. So they take those findings and experiences, before demonizing AI which we're seeing in practice.

An ethical use of AI is to not use AI for those kinds of purposes.

No. Some questions bear repeating because:

Users have a tendency to delete their accounts, taking their posts with them including what they asked.

Newer users and even frequent ones, can't be bothered to comb through pages and pages of previously asked questions. Plus, it's gravedigging old posts.

Restricting questions would just be too limiting, however, there are reasons some questions should not be asked and that falls in line to the rules of the sidebar that get constantly ignored.

The Surgeon General isn't really that important anyways.

Unlike where the likes of RFK is...

First off, we don't need your arrows to know how to read a title. I wish we can get over this normalized thing where people have to point out "it's in the title". Like, no duh, we can READ it. Stop insulting people's intelligence.

And to make a mockery of your body text or lack of. My answers are in the comments.

OP, fix the video please.

I've been tired of it.

I don't have all of the answers for you. I'm not your speaker. I get told that I'm full of shit or that I'm wrong even when I do actually present honest and truthful methods in how to go about undoing the damage being caused onto all of us.

In the end, all I'm caring about and looking out for is me and a few others. You're on your own, you need to be the one stepping up, you need to be the one to come up with your own opinions and thoughts. More importantly, you need to be the one to take that action. I can't do everything for you and nobody should just because you won't.

Majority of bands. In my old state of VT, no big band would ever waste time there and I was limited as to how far I could travel when they reach other states like Mass or New York.

And where I currently live, yeah there will sometimes be some bands/groups I wouldn't mind seeing, but I'm still locked out from seeing most of them.

Yes, it is mandatory for me that if I am to ever buy cookies such as Oreo, there must be milk to go with it. I can't handle eating them dry.

Bieber was more like...2010s, with early peaks of success tailing off the 2000s. The bieber hate was enormous in the 2010s though.

This is why I feel at times, it is a bad idea for a new platform to try and replicate an old platform for people to run from. The Fediverse should be an entirely new platform/network with decentralization as a bonus. Introduce new ideas, take bold risks (like eliminating karma systems entirely), incorporate ideas that worked by consistency .etc

But, the fact that Lemmy, Mastodon, Bluesky and other Fediverse copy and paste ideas from Reddit, Twitter and Facebook. They subject themselves to the same flaws as they all did. So, now, we have the same shit happening, but on different platforms and in some cases, exploits features for people to abuse that allow them to get away with more shit.

The Fediverse has failed.

Watches

I never saw the point of them. I don't see the problem with analog or digital watches. Everything is regressed to a tiny square of a screen, that you barely look at. I just find it as an unnecessary distraction.

Light Bulbs

I work in retail and I stock these things all of the time. We have light bulbs, that are smart now because why? They're stuffed with wireless functionality, just so you can simply change a color or maybe dim it through phone. More unnecessary apps, more unnecessary functions just for cheap attraction.

Kitchen Appliances

I'm bundling them all here.

There is nothing you're gaining an advantage of, when slapping a screen on any appliance and relying on some unsupported app on your phone for basic functions.

Not about whether they're read, but the long list of comments and posts? Seems tedious having to get rid of them one by one.

To narrow it down, it has to be something you will not forgive a country for doing for the rest of your life. Alternatively, you can feel something in great disdain towards the whole world, like what you see universally done or know of.

Mine would be and I strongly use this word because of the practice associated to it, but, the raping of information.

And I say that because it is astonishingly appalling just how distorted information has gotten. With how modern day journalism has been to even half-baked Wikipedia articles that aren't detailed. Even historical accounts aren't entirely safe because they just get revised and re-written at a moment's notice to fit particular narratives or perspectives of others.

The lines of lies and truths are completely blurred, only registered by particular contexts or levels of convenience. It burns my mind up to think some of the time, as to what I should take in for information that isn't just for a purpose of study. I'm so jaded towards anything, I take everything projected with contempt.

I use Librewolf, alternatively, Floorp, so I wonder if there's anything I can use on them to download videos with.

And I plan on using them on sites similar to hianime, but I'm tired of like, finding one stream and it dies, then having to go find another .etc

I want to save my favorite series so I can have something to watch reliably than something that is operating on uncertainty.

Any ideas?

For me, I never thought I'd see my 20s. Because growing up, I was a very unhealthy overweight kid and teenager growing up. I had heard of people not making it to their young adult lives because of being plagued by numerous health issues, being overweight one of them.

Whether it's radio or retail that are played by the most inane and vanilla of DJs possible with no taste or other means.

The Cure - Lovesong. Thanks to my store's shitty radio selection, this song plays like 2 - 3 times at a given night. Can't stand it.

Pearl Jam - Do The Evolution. The only time I enjoy this song, is if I'm watching the music video anymore and quite frankly, I do recommend watching the music video to this song. But, it's overplayed to me now.

Huey Lewis and the News - Power of Love. This really does break my heart, because I love Huey Lewis and the News, but it's steadily getting up there to being so overplayed that I can't stand it.

AC/DC - Back in Black. Fuck, every god damn commercial, movie trailer and what have you, has killed this song for me.

Any Queen Song. Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, you name it, overplayed to where I can't be bothered to listen to them on my own to enjoy.

Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight. I tie this song to the Hangover, in the scene where the guys meet Mike Tyson and he stops them to listen to his favorite part. But, the more times I've heard this song, the enjoyment I've had is out the window.

The Offspring - Come Out and Play. Loved it a lot back then, it was a symbol of the 90s, now its a symbol of being overplayed.

Temple of the Dog - Hunger Strike. Of all of the songs and bands, they have to abuse this one. It's also fucking ironic that they play this song, considering its meaning. I'm waiting to hear something from Rage Against the Machine or KMFDM just to stir the irony pot some more that some corporate entity is blasting songs from bands that are against them.
