that would be a trademark or copyright suit not a patent suit. Patents are strictly mechanics, they didn't sue on design, I agree I think they had a better case on that, but the Nintendo lawyers decided otherwise
I didn't know he died, guess that makes sense why I stopped hearing his name all the time
the problem is, palworld isn't "pokemon with guns", they used that slogan originally sure, but palworld 100% shows more similar mechanics and concepts to ark then pokemon, it's a mix of pokemon style mechanics and Arks RPG mechanics. I would say they had a stronger suite against trademark than they did mechanics side.
The only game mechanic similarity between the two is the ball capture system and the fact that it's called a trainer/leader when you battle the NPC's anything else is already present in other games.
By this logic, any game that features the ability to tame or capture monsters would be a pokemon clone. That's far too broad of a category to allow as a patent if challenged. I personally believe it will result in them losing the patent as a whole if it is that patent they are fighting with.
rokus will DoS your DNS servers if you block their telemetry, I had to disable most logging on my pihole due to that because I was getting 2 or 3 gigs worth of DNS daily logging which was almost fully the sole roku Premier upstairs. It's so bad.
Others have said this but, that's because the merchant has changed the item listed. I don't believe Amazon should even allow this as a possibility but it does so because they allow it sellers will regularly put an item they know will rate really well out for a few months to get a lot of high rating, and then they'll swap it out for an item that is either something else they want to sell that usually doesn't sell as often or something that's a little lower quality but because they had the old item first all of the reviews for the old item is now stacked onto the new item which makes it look better than it actually is
On top of this, Amazon is able to remember what you purchased in the past so when it gives you those notices it doesn't give you the current information on the item it gives you the information that provided when the item was purchased, so for example if you asked a question on the item, using what they received they're probably thinking that you're the dumb one because they likely got an email showing a dash camera with the same question
Oh boy, can't wait for this one to be thrown out by our totally not rigged, definitly for the people supreme Court.
wasn't it always blocked by default? Google's always given a scare alert on sideloading apps, is this just an additional popup or is it replacing the stock one. Seems rather pointless if a setting and a waste of developer's resources if you ask me.
It's actually quite worrisome, many projects exclusively have their troubleshooting or support on Discord now what's going to happen years down the road when all those Discord servers have closed or no longer active and the invite links expire this is going to be a vast knowledge base that's just lost to the world
Love the coffee cup, so true
Most features that smart phones had. Most prodomimantly the micro SD card slot, headphone jack and IR blaster.
especially with mobile phones now, look at iPhone for example, it's so user friendly that if you try to do anything remotely advance you need to jump through hoops to do it. I had a sales person try to tell me that the iPhone was expandable because it had cloud storage capability, they didn't know what a Micro SD card was and that it used to be able to go in all the flagship phones. Pretty disappointing
it's still practical to block them, twitch has adblockers and uses the same mechanics, if there's a client rendered element(such as a pop up box that can be clicked) it's detectable and therefor skippable or at the very least hidable.
