Microsoft has been doing the most to break those. I was using PatchExplorer which has a lot of these features. Microsoft broke the ability to completely remove that awful, wasted space for “Recommended” in the Start Menu. It’s absolutely useless and an eyesore.

But it at least still worked to revert the context menu to what it should be. I hate always having to figure out what icon is for copy/paste/delete than just having the damn word and also having to go to the old context for 7zip/other third party apps.

It’ll likely be in the Android kernel much like what Microsoft does with Windows S Mode which does the same thing in Windows.

We won’t know for sure until it’s implemented how it will work within Android.

That sounds like a great idea but how is the ventilation on that setup? Does it have ventilation for letting in cool air and exhausting the hot air?

That’s good to hear! I’m not a dev of this or anything, just another user who loves what Voyager is for browsing Lemmy. Like the other person said, Piefed is just something new they’ve added but doesn’t really affect how we connect to Lemmy. It’s kind of like if an app was created that allowed you to access your bank and another bank in the same app. Piefed is another platform similar to Lemmy.

Yeah, Voyager still has some little hiccups here and there. The devs are pretty responsive to issues and requests though. I’m on iPhone and find that closing and restarting the app typically fixes those little glitches, at least temporarily.

Now if only they would remember that I don’t want captions enabled, previews enabled, or autoplay enabled. I fucking hate every one of those features and that they don’t respect my choice to leave them disabled.

You should leave a review on the App Store too. Most reviews nowadays are negative as people tend to only write something when they’re upset or if they had something really good happen, like the devs giving them a million bucks.

Definitely need to ensure the reviews are balanced :)

Meow what is so funny?

Agreed completely. Local places near me want $30+ for a basic ass pizza.

I only ordered one last night because they had a deal for $11 with any toppings at Dominos. I wanted to get wings too, but that was even more expensive than the damn pizza. I did the math, and it would have been almost a $2 a wing. Fuck that.

They lost money on my order last night, maybe, and I don’t give a shit. They also had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to tip despite me picking up the pizza…

I got a new AIO cooler and needed to also move to a bigger desktop case.

So I moved all of my internal components from one case to the other and also removed the old AIO and installed the new one. Besides that, I might have damaged my PSU in the process so I had to replace that too. It wouldn’t turn on anymore so I just replaced it this morning.

I tried booting into Windows and it went to a BSOD saying cache_manager was the problem.

I tried to get a recovery in there and Windows tried to automatically repair drives but kept coming up on this same error.

I created a KDE Neon live USB and booted into that. Zero issues. I then manually formatted my Windows OS disk in KDE and also removed the Windows bootloader. Basically trying to start from a scratch system with no Microsoft any.

Still getting the BSOD, even with the Windows 11 USB installer I created from their creation tool. I am able to get to that purple screen in the installer and see a cursor to move around with my mouse. That’s the part in the Windows installer where you tell it what edition and which drive you want to choose. But after a few moments, it errors out to a BSOD.

Now I’ve actually went ahead and installed KDE Neon to my system. I use it on my laptop, but I need Windows on this computer for work (it’s my personal computer I game with but also use for remoting in for work).

I’m going to try redoing my USB as a new Windows 11 installer and see if that goes through, but wondering if there’s anything else I can do for this? Anything else to try?

I say “recently” in a relative way, more so countries that have split in the last century. Places like North and South Korea, Taiwan and China, former USSR states, etc.

Has enough time passed that these countries separated have major changes in their languages yet?

This shit grinds my gears so fucking hard.

I got a Dell Latitude 7400 2 in 1 from my job they were going to ewaste. I daily drive KDE Neon on it and I love it. However, one of its two USB type C ports isn’t working for charging or data transfer. I inspected the port but found no obvious damage. How can I troubleshoot and fix this? I’ve searched YouTube and online sites but haven’t found helpful guidance.

I get it if it’s at a place like Starbucks when you verbally say it. Everyone has a special way of spelling their name and you can’t know the spelling based on how it was said.

But when my name is literally written out in the previous email and you are replying to that email…bruh.

Makes me want to passive aggressively write theirs incorrectly too.

Just thinking about collector’s cups like limited edition Super Bowl memorabilia or whatever.

I realize that I prefer to use them rather than keep them pristine. I have a Chiefs winner shirt an ex gave me and I just wear it despite her saying it’d probably be worth something someday lol

I swear off so many products and services for no other reason than their obnoxious, repetitive commercials.

Off top of my head, I will never buy Old Spice anything because their ads are so repetitive and obnoxious. I feel disgust when I see it in the store and actively avoid it for no other reason than their spam campaigns.

Same for USAA, Native body wash, AmEx, Liberty insurance (that forced catchy theme), and more.

Anyone else feel the same way? Or have you caught yourself getting suckered in because of ads’ subconscious shenanigans?

He loves the shit.

I grab one of those jars from the fridge and open the aluminum wrapping and he goes crazy, begging for me to drop a smidge of yogurt on the floor so he can lick it up.

It doesn’t matter how quiet I try to be, he hears that aluminum foil and comes running for it and will not stop meowing until he is satisfied.
