That's genuinely absurd.

He's not wrong on any counts here

Ok story time. I played a set with my band at a house show the other night, and had a great time. Afterwards this woman comes up to talk with me and compliment my set. We have several drinks together, dance to the next bands songs and talk. This person is extremely straight presenting, and yet even i can tell I'm being flirted with. I figure that she is quite attractive and I'm enjoying her company, so I guess I'll give it a chance. Night ends, we exchange numbers... And she gets into a company truck of a local rapacious logging company to drunk drive home! bear-despair

Socialist singles mixer, seems like a ok idea and I think left and labor cultural and community events as an alternative to the purely capitalist ones is important. I also think that this presentation and title is deeply cringe and also misogynistic

Where are you located, in case I know any local resources?

Thank you for the explanation

I Like slammer memes, but don't understand this phrase. Can anyone explain?

Seems reasonable

Adding to what folks have said, one of the single largest factors in Wildland fires destroying houses is the widespread use of tarpaper or shingle roofs. Wildfires in high winds launch large quantities of extremely hot embers and even chunks of burning materials, and generally the way these fires spreads to houses is those landing on roofs or vegetation next to houses. Less flammable roof options such as corrugated metal, slate or tile are significantly more expensive, so they are not used generally.

Almost all native trees of California are also fire adapted, because we have had large annual wildfires for a long ass time. I obviously can't tell what kind of trees those are, but this is a common trend with wildfire damage

Yesterday I was sitting on top of a half disassembled tractor engine, with grease and sockets everywhere, eating my lunch of falafel and listening to the brace-dark-cowboy episode about afghan heroin when my elderly MAGA nut/Jehovah's witness/ 24hr/day fox news watching manager walked in.

She offered no comment lol
