Make it a carrot, not a stick. I signed in with me gog account for cyberpunk 2077 just fine because I wanted a jacket and it was 100% optional

I'm so sick of companies doing things to maximize numbers rather than for the sake of making the best experiences. Capitalism doesn't work, our data is worth more than our loyalty now.

When you sneeze Calcifer will sprint into the room and meow at you to bless you. If you ignore him he will keep meowing until thanks or pets are provided.

He also knows when my wife is in pain or having anxiety and will sit on her lap to keep her calm (maybe projecting this, but it's very helpful and cute)

I do often desire a "click to continue" option, especially helpful for asynchronous tasks. Start a render, and when you get back it says 100% without you having to look at the output folder, for instance. I get what you mean though, it certainly should say 100% unless it's totally donezo. Probably lazy rounding errors in some cases (Microsoft products are the worst at showing accurate progress bars)

If banks are funded by the government (ongoing bailouts and ridiculously beneficial laws for them) then they should be considered a public service and available to everyone, at least at a basic level
