We are using Prowlers and Paragons Ultimate edition for our Super Hero game. It is a pretty good system; I am enjoying it.

My biggest challenge is really around Podman on Bazzite. It is just different enough from Docker to be annoying. I had the system lock up, and the Podman containers / pods (whatever you want to call them) would not launch. In fact, the system claimed they didn't even exist. I was looking for the files and logs all over to try to figure it out. I ended up doing a clean shutdown and restart and then the container started without issue.

The second issue I have is also related to my Jellyfin container/pod. I have gone through all the recommended settings and troubleshooting, adding permissions exceptions, all the podman settings, and I still cannot get it to take advantage of the Nvidia acceleration unless I put SELinux in permissive mode, which the Internet says is a bad thing.

Other than, honestly Bazzite has been great as my daily driver for about 4 months now.

Another upvote for Netrunner. I have the original printing starter box (WOTC), Lots of the FFG cards, and I think the starter print-on-demand from Null Signal. I played in a tournament on Jinteki and absolutely had my ass handed to me, but I still had a good time. I also picked up a set of 3-d printed tokens from Litko. Only when it no longer works. I would have kept my last phone much longer, but the basic function of connecting to cell/mobile towers stopped. Still works as a wifi-only device.

There was one where Mr. Howell gives Gilligan some land, then they hear on the radio there is oil there, Howell takes it back, only to find out it was just a buried tanker. Hilarity ensues. That is all I remember. I don't think I have watched any episodes in about... um, so many years.

My friends and I used to watch the PPVs when we were actively doing Brazilian Jujutsu. But at some point it felt like it transitioned into WWE and less about watching a really good martial arts.

I have been playing a fair amount of Jump Drive lately. Really enjoying it. I did notice though that it seems if you get Comet Zone out early in the first 2 or so turns really seems to predict the win.

I own, and have read some of, V1, but never ended up playing it. I have heard some good things about it and will probably back it.

Witches' Quarrel - Indie legacy card game (www.kickstarter.com)
 

I had a chance to play this at a local convention and played with the game designer. It is a pretty fun game. It is legacy, so you need to get through the story to play with all the cards. As it says in the FAQ, all the cards are numbered, so a reset is possible, or playing with different people.

I am not getting anything out of this (except a better chance it will get fully funded, which means a better chance I will actually get the game), but as I said, I have played it and would like to again.

I have always liked Dark Sun, and Wastes of Chaos seems like a pretty good fit for that, especially since the group I was thinking of running it for is used to D&D 5e now. Any experiences with it out there?

I have had this game since the kickstarter, but finally got a chance to play it yesterday. It was two player, so I am not sure that is the ideal number. We played a lot of things wrong the first time through and learned a ton as we progressed.

Anyone else playing? Have you played with the Coop or 5-6 player expansions?

Looking at Steam this morning, I have all of 25 hours in, at least a quarter of those are the game being open overnight. I will continue to edit and put more videos of my journey out there. This is learning the game, learning Peertube, OBS, and ShotCut all at the same time!

Mead - what type of bottles (lemmy.world)
 

Hey all, I have brewed a few meads in the past. I have used capped beer bottles, I have used wine bottles & corks for still mead, and I have most recently used swingtop (flip top, Grolsch-style bottles). All of those seemed to work fine. Do you all have preferences or experiences where one type of bottling works better for you?
