People don't need to engage politically on every single platform they frequent. I've blocked a long list of political keywords, because 95% of the political content I see here is about a country I'm not from. Americans can scream at each other to their hearts' content without my being obligated to participate or even observe.
I got about twelve episodes into Voyager and I had to stop because the contrast with DS9 in that respect was way too much for me (I was watching concurrently 1990s style).
Aren't those kinds of decisions made in the writers' room, though?
I use Boost and the topic keyword blocker works really well. I've got a lot of political words blacklisted and it's made browsing All much more pleasant.

I have, although when I looked into it some years back it was available only on a limited basis and you could only apply for an account certain days of the year... it seemed a bit complicated (and was the wrong time of year) so I forgot about it. Wasn't there some big drama with its creator also?
I was able to recover my OG neopets account a few months ago -- from 2001! -- and I've been enjoying getting back into it.
