There have been achievements in North Korea … They do have a cohesive, pristine actually, innocent culture. A culture that has not been penetrated by globalisation and by Western mores and is very interesting to see.

So MTG can run for office in 2038, but Gavin Newsom can't in 2032.

What if protesters aren't leftists but are on the political right?

For example, should pro-lifers be allowed to block the offices of abortion doctors?

What did you think of the trucker protest in Canada?

He beat Trump once, while tankies did little but go on about how similar Biden and Trump are.

I didn't know of it until now.

Asahi Linux is a project that ports the Linux kernel and related software to Apple silicon-powered Macs. The software design project was started and is led by Hector Martin. Work began in early 2021, a few months after Apple formally announced the transition to Apple silicon. An initial alpha release followed in 2022. The project has been made challenging by the lack of publicly available documentation of Apple's proprietary firmware.[2][3]

Body Count - Cop Killer (www.youtube.com)
submitted 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) by DMBFFF@lemmy.world to c/connectasong@lemmy.world

The previous post, Kendrick Lamar - Alright, refers to the police, as does the one previous to it, N.W.A, Fuck the Police.

"Cop" is a common colloquialism for police officer, and the word "police" appears in the lyrics of this song several times.

Ice-T, a prominent member of Body Count, has also done rap music in Los Angeles.

This post shares with the previous post, Cancer Bats - Sabotage (Beastie Boys Cover), the word "bats". Also they are both covers of songs made over 15 years earlier.

In the previous song, Annie Murphy repeatedly sings "I'm a little bit of [whatever it is]",

where in this song, Ms Brooks sings "I'm a [whatever it is, though the word "bitch" is often used].

While "I'm a" is a contraction-of-sorts of "I'm a little bit of", the tautology is sufficient, IMO, to constitute an adequate connection for the purpose of this community.
