AFAIK there is no case currently. They only threatened legal action.

Can we drop the prefix characters (like @Cubes and !liftoff) from communities and users in compact mode? It really just clutters up the UI in c/liftoff@lemmy.world

I'm really just talking about in the post list and you can already tell what is what because it's always in the same spot on every post

Sure, but I think that can be omitted from "compact mode." If you're wanting to mention the OP then you're going to open the post anyway and the info can be listed there.
