overview for Cubes

Maybe I couldn't find it somewhere online, but is there a structured development roadmap for features you plan to implement? If not, what are the top priorities going forward? What are your long term goals with the project?

I think Lemmy specifically doesn't fall victim to the issue of certain news agencies and personalities being exclusive to the platform as much as Mastodon does with Twitter. You can get the same news here as long as someone is there to post it, but that's where Lemmy is a bit behind at the moment: we haven't hit that critical mass of users such that smaller communities have enough content to sustain themselves. Maybe the platform isn't ready for all those people quite yet either; I think the software has a little maturing to do before mass adoption would happen.

I always loved checking the crossword subreddit daily for the discussions, so it would be awesome to see more activity around it on Lemmy!

I've mostly been killing Vardorvis because I think it's fun and challenging, but in the last 5 kills I've made a total of 25k (mith javelins, lots of lava runes, etc.) and definitely burned more than that in supplies. Maybe it's a skill issue, but I am definitely in the hole quite a bit when death costs are so high and it's super easy to die at Vard.

join-lemmy.org needs some serious work if it's really what people are going to link when others ask about it; it's really no wonder that we've mostly only amassed technical folks. I also think the default UI/UX could use a lot of work to bring it up to standards with other modern social sites. I wish that would be a priority for the devs, but I know they only have so much time to devote to things

AFAIK there is no case currently. They only threatened legal action.

Can we drop the prefix characters (like @Cubes and !liftoff) from communities and users in compact mode? It really just clutters up the UI (lemm.ee)

Really wish that the compact mode was more compact too:

Don't need to see "via [my instance]" on every post
Community instance doesn't need to be as prominent as other info
User's instance is rarely information I care about when scrolling through posts
