It’s painful that we are allowing this. In 1988, the US, Britain, and Israel were still fighting the UN to stop sanctions against the ruling South African government and suppling weapons and surveillance systems to continue to repress the indigenous people. Times haven’t changed.
This is not an individual event. People get beaten and harassed trying to get to Easter service, they refuse checkpoint crossing so people can’t make holy day services, shot people at churches, bombed churches. I mean this is a state based on a single religious superiority, you don’t think they harass and discriminate other religions? Christians don’t have the same rights as other groups, it is a known thing.
There are multiple monastic traditions of shunning all material things, some of which include housing.
Half? Biden says no restrictions and won’t call for a ceasefire and the Republican want to turn it into a parking lot. I see them all as bloodthirsty.

While I understand it is nuclear powered, I also assume it has a full payload. Even if not. The optics after an Israeli minister says there are no civilians and nukes are on the table aren’t good for us to be engaging like this. He may have been suspended, but the rhetorics right now are not acceptable.
And instead of ships with aid, we have warships within view.
And most are second or third generation born in camps after being forcibly moved from their homes by armed soldiers almost 60 years ago. Regardless of some adults actions,what we are supporting doing to kids is an unacceptable horror.
Something this important, if you are so old you can’t remember, you need to step down. If it is something else, that is worse.

I don’t get the knee jerk Russian bot response either. The point isn’t pro-Russia, it is that we give zero fucks for killing Palestinian kids, but if we pay a few bucks more at the pump, full stop real issue to talk about. Russia and Israel are run by horrible murderous people.
