I'm wondering what will happen to openXchange which ionos is using currently and is afaik also holding parts of. It does exactly the same.

The problem is that more and more people can't afford a boat anymore.
I don't use Windows anymore but Microsoft Powertoys exist. And I have no clue why they don't ship it with Windows by default...
Nooooo, now it's saved somewhere on my phone and I will never be able to visit the US ...

There is no analogy. It's comparing returning costs per product (you need a new tomato per 5 burgers) to a one time costs that can be cut during development. And additional copies of a game don't generate more costs.
Gamers needs expensive hardware so designer has less work. Game still not cheaper.
