You wrote it. You can’t re-read it?

The idea that if there were no landlords you'd be able to afford a house is absurd.

Saw a turd like this in the toilet at school in 2nd grade and I’ll never forget it

This is my take too. Reality has a liberal bias, and people doing skilled/educated work tend to have a firmer grasp on reality

It’s going to take these old assholes dropping dead in the Capitol before we start doing anything but bitching about the ages of our congresspeople. And yes, anyone selfish enough run for re-election when they’re over the age of 70 is an asshole in my book

The bootlickers over at r/apple have been defending this for years

Do updates arrive sooner on test pilot, or is there parity between TP and the App Store?

Airbnb is terrible for society but imo this is the right ruling. If you want to stop housing from being hoarded and abused for profit, you need to do it through the legislative process.

This article doesn’t give a lot of context for why their home addresses were requested, but I would guess it’s because the prevailing sentiment is folks are tired of foreign nationals buying up expensive properties and deepening the housing crisis.

The way to stop this is by amending the law. Sounds like someone is trying to skip a few steps.

We would have sent these to Ukraine if there were more British volunteers over there.

Thanks Br*tain

Do you mind giving a short explainer of proper link formatting? I was struggling with this just a little bit ago

I think this should be prioritized in order to help with the insane growth and associated costs of Rexxit.

It may not make sense for 100% of proceeds to go to Lemmy devs, but something like 70/30 or 60/40 split (in favor of the instance host) would be a great idea to help us support the scaling effort.

Edit: I guess I'll take my L. This seems to be a pretty unpopular take, and I understand why. We'll see where things end up in a few months when these suckers start getting actually big

Yeah what does a Saudi prince want to do with a social platform run by a ‘free speech absolutist’? Especially to the tune of $2 billion dollars?

I’m sure is just a big coincidence that the site is turning into a fascist-sympathizing shithole

I’m not saying he’s tanking Twatter on purpose.. but what would he do differently if he was?

Thanks for the post. I’ve bought some coffees for the Lemmy.world admin and Memmy dev, but didn’t think to track down the Lemmy dev. Signed up for the Patreon!

Still definitely a work in progress but it's great so far.
