Most men in Star Trek would fall into this category. Sisko fills the top spot for me though, for his portrayal as a supportive, affectionate, and masculine father while balancing the responsibilities of wartime leadership.

It depends on how you play, but I think Arthur Morgan from RDR2 can be a positive masculine role model if you play high honor the whole game or choose redemption in its final act.

I had mixed feelings about the first season. I'm more of a West Coast Fallout Fan then an East Coast Fan, so while I can acknowledge the show is well produced and entertaining, I cant help but be irritated by the direction its taking the franchise. I'm interested but cautious of season 2, especially since its content will now align closer to my favorite game in the series. I'm also doubtful of the long term success of any show from the creators of Westworld. I've been burned before.

The scores on these prestige streaming shows are always bullshit. They're usually based off just a handful of critics who saw the first few episodes. These shows are usually front-loaded with quality and then fall apart mid or late in the season, so the scores start great and by the time bad reviews come in most people have moved on.

Been seeing this headline for going on 10 years now.

I've grown more tolerate of Wesley as I've grown older. He's only ever really "annoying" in season one, but the entire show was rough back them. I wish we had gotten more of Wesley post season 4, during TNG's peak years.

Janeway is a fine character. Like all the crew on Voyager she is inconsistently written, but she is one of the better characters. Neelix fits the OP best.

As someone who's become more and more of a Scrooge over the years, Gremlins is my partner and I's go to "Not Christmas" Movie

Similar in vibes, though more "Christmasy" Krampus (2015) has become another of my holiday staples.

Love to see my favorite homoerotic fart movie discussed on Lemmy!

That's embarrassing for an item with this price tag. It makes the entries product unimpressive and gives the notion that it was rushed.

The school bully to cop pipeline is real

In a post on X, Newsom addressed the U.S.'s global trading partners, writing "California is here and ready to talk."

It comes after a Fox News report revealed that Newsom is directing his state to pursue "strategic" relationships with countries announcing retaliatory tariffs against the U.S., urging them to exclude California-made products from those taxes.

I’m genuinely curious. Years ago, I was a chubby young pothead who lived on fast food. Taco Bell, McDonald’s, KFC, you name it—I ate it. Back in college, fast food probably made up at least 50% of my diet. And it wasn’t just because it was quick and cheap—I actually enjoyed it.

But these days, I find myself craving it less and less. Besides being more health-conscious, it just doesn’t hit the spot like it used to. It’s more expensive than ever, mostly bland, and I feel terrible after I eat it. So what’s changed? Is it just part of the enshitification of everything? Have I just gotten old, or has fast food really gone downhill?
