I do appreciate the approach of “buff weaker stuff” to bring up the power level, rather than nerfing the meta.

This blog post is great.

The Orbital Precision Strikes original intent was to be used against spawners and fixed positions. However this hasn’t stopped the community from using it against pretty much everything

Tbf that might be what they would have done a few months ago. Ever since the Eruptor, they stopped "nerfing" stuff. Now don't get me wrong, the community is a bunch of crybabies, but I appreciate the new approach just like you said.

I can't even watch ohdough videos anymore. His response to the heavy pistol in polar patriots was "I didn't try it but it's bad. I want to dual wield deagles."

Line shit, be negative if you have to but how the hell are you gonna review something you didn't even use?

Ohdough is hard for me to watch at all. He expresses everything through an lens of disappointment. His takes are very strong and don't have space for other people's perspectives/uses. Empathy for other use cases.

Just saw him whining like a bitch for getting timed out in the hd2 discord server. I only watched a few of his vids to get patch note info while driving to work, I didn't know he was such a consistent shithead.

Artificial light sources have had their intensity rebalanced and reduced across the board to fix situations of lights completely blinding the player.

Whenever we turned the power on at a POI the lights were public enemy number one and got priority over actual enemies because… well… we couldn’t see the enemies.

Yeah that's the one problem I had with running a Blitzer and grenade pistol - I had nothing good to shoot the lights with!

Loving a lot of the changes so far! I haven’t played around with many of the changes strats/weapons yet but the ones I have feel a lot better. Case in point; I never ran the orbital Gatling because it was pathetic beforehand, now it’s a pretty good area denial strat.

I'm glad they were able to correct the purifier to their intended vision. You could see where they were trying to go before this patch. Hoping to see where it is at now.

Well the scope stopped sticking so you have to click on the button to ADS every time, sucks when there is a wave coming at you and you have to reload.

There were other nagging issues with changing wepons, reloading, etc...was a very weird match.

Ill try again later, is anyone else having weird issues?

So they fixed the ADS sticking? It was interesting to unstick ADS due to increased production targets.

I hope it was a bug...?... Maybe? Not sure if you the patch fixed it. No test data.

Running away while stuck in ADS often ends with my helldiver running into a bug or bot.

Oh, what I'm referring to is clicking on ADS and keeping that view after reloading, changing wepons, etc. Now i have to aim, then click scope every time.

Oh. I see. Maybe the patch bugged the settings? Maybe try resetting the Remember Aim Mode settings in Options. Maybe it needs a little nudge to keep it.
