Some lines are MEANT to be crossed.
@qkall @linuxphones your pinephone has a cooling fan with a light like a gaming pc?
@paranoia_machinery @linuxphones
😣
yes.
@qkall @linuxphones that's pretty next level. I want a pinephone now, lol
@paranoia_machinery @linuxphones
for the love of god, do your research... it's daily driveale with some caveats... and running android is a fever dream
@qkall @linuxphones what linux distro are you running?
I always forget picture get eaten going between platforms.... Arch sxmo
@qkall @linuxphones that's awesome, it runs arch! I thought pinephones had manjaro or ubuntu touch or something. I am seriously considering buying one now
For most it's not daily drivable .. I'm not that person but I went in with a very well tempered expectation.... I am a prior owner of a openmoko free runner so... I know true pain.
Wait, how's it got a keyboard? What are all the modifications here? This is nuts.
is the fan really needed? as in temperature wise? or is just for fun?
Needed? Hmm, most folks don't have a fan for it... But for me, I see good improvements on the battery and obviously heat. Keeps it around 120 F (49 C) vs 150F (66 C) + without the fan
I'm pretty sure this is the device John Connor pulls out in Terminator 2 to hack the ATM machine.
This is awesome!
More pictures please!
