Many BT uploaders and BT webmasters, who are supposed to be the promoters of the new feature, are now taking a wait-and-see approach to this, reversing cause and effect in the hope that the new feature will first be popularised for leechers, and then they'll adopt it for creating new seeds. such as some of the uploaders and admins of TGx

Any news on TGx using Bittorrent 2.0 https://torrentgalaxy.to/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=2657

Is there any Bittorrent V2 tracker? https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/2272078

We just created (1 hour ago) a pull request to the TorrentPier (public tracker engine which Rutracker and many other trackers use). It took 2-3 hours.

Only hybrid torrents allowed currently (torrents containing both v1 and v2 inside)

Ready abilities:

  • Show file hashes in file list
  • Show v2 hash inside magnet links
  • Removed displaying paddings (.pad folder) and counting their sizes.

Tomorrow's pull request may contain:

  • Showing file names, hashes and sizes in a table for search indexers to index (any seo advices?)
  • Answer to v2 hash announces
  • Some styling corrections

Do you have any other ideas? Please comment.

TorrentPier is the first tracker engine which will release with BitTorrent v2!

unexpected👏👏👏 Thank you, although I don't know how to use it yet.

I am a uploader of a not famous website (although did not upload not too much), planned to upload hybrid or V2, but our webmaster wasn't going to support it, searched for discussions on this matter on other similar sites and found that their ideas are basically the same, which gave me some ideas, so I posted this thread,

Judging by the number of the post likes, it seems that most of the downloaders in this forum who are passive recipients are not interested in this topic.

People are not aware of its benefits and basically don't know what it is

Crackstatus (russian piracy site with 30k members) implemented one of our first builds (many features yet coming), see for yourself in info hash variants and magnet link ;)

Why you marked your account as bot?

Your TGx link is broken, I found the correct one at https://torrentgalaxy.to/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=2657 EDIT: Nevermind looks like Lemmy itself keeps breaking the link, try this linked version instead

Sort of related question: Do any of the torrent indexers with DHT crawler currently index Bittorrent V2 hashes? That would seem like the easiest workaround for finding V2 torrents since none of the general public/private sites have V2 support.

(I'm talking about sites like BT4G, BTDig, SolidTorrents, BitSearch, BTMET, Libtor, etc.)
