I thought "total solar eclipse" would be on the chart. It appears not to be.

Grand Canyon is actually fucking sweet from an airplane. I guess you don't have to chase it with radios etc but I flew from Denver to San Diego one time and it was amazing from my window seat.

Maybe not chasing, but meteor showers are actually a really big deal to ham operators. They cause certain bands to open up allowing us to talk all over the world!

I'd probably rank the international date line above sand traps, because (I think) more people have seen a sand trap in person and there's an interesting naval tradition associated with crossing it traveling west.
