That’s the sensible thing to do. You can’t do everything. So if you’re going to fail anyway, you might as well do it lying down.

Maybe get a pillow to make yourself more comfortable.

[–] hobovision@lemm.ee 17 points 2 years ago

Oops on the way to get my pillow I noticed something cool and now I've been reading Wikipedia for an hour.

But I didn't do anything productive so I don't deserve the pillow.

Everyone deserves a pillow.

How can I explain this to my partner?

[–] old_machine_breaking_apart@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

You just have to talk and explain everything. Oh, wait...

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 years ago

But then apparently I'm overexplaining and repeating myself...

This video actually does a pretty good job as far as I can tell and it's only a minute long 🙂

I sometimes identify with this, but lately I mostly skip panels 1 and 2 altogether.

Anyone want to get into woodworking or smithing? I've got an idea, let's veg out on the sofa doing nothing while we decide which would be a better use of our time.

You didn't forget to feel satisfied the moment you completed the Amazon order, feeling no sense of joy whatsoever by the time it arrives and you're back to your overwhelming life of failure at mundanity?

[–] thepreciousboar@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago

Every single time.
