Mag / Ves / Calli / Kronii was one of my favorite talent combos - super bummed that that's not going to be happening anymore :(

edit: also fucking RIP to the just-updated models. AND THE TTRPG STUFF NOOOOOOO

Shit I didn't even think about that, those collabs were so good.

The models are one of the most disappointing parts, I remember a clip of Magni saying how hard he had to try and get that updated model and then for Vesper we only got 3 streams with it. (Unless he did a collab)

I can't believe it, loved watching Vesper's streams especially since they were usually EU friendly. Was really hoping it was just an extended break but a graduation after hearing nothing for weeks really sucks.

Will miss both of them, Tempus won't be the same without them

Honestly seems to me like contract negotiations fell through. It's easy to forget these are entertainers that negotiated a contract with an entertainment company and that these talents can choose to work for other companies, or for themselves, if they believe it's better.

My understanding is that these two were fairly popular streamers before joining Cover and probably felt like their contract wasn't worth it.

Magni was. Vesper has 15k subs (10k before Hololive), I really doubt it’s about the money (at least for him).

That's what I've seen people saying. Sucks to see them go but as you say, if they felt that the contract wasn't in their best interests then they have every right go reject it and just go back to being a solo streamer

Magni currently has 4 times the subscribers on his other channel and there he doesn't need to give 50% of earnings to Cover. He probably thought Holostars might give him a bigger boost, but compared to Hololive the numbers seems to be tough.

As for Vesper, he was much smaller before, but maybe he's going back to it. A certain Orc salary man has already posted his spear on Twitter :)

I feel bad for Pakopapa. He's very involved with holo in general so it's sad to see that now both of his children have graduated

This is pretty unusual to get a grad announcement without a grad stream, and have the talents and Cover separating on what appears to be good terms.

[-] ProtonEvoker@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

To be fair, if this was a termination they’d call it a termination (see: Rushia).

[-] RightHandOfIkaros@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Yes, but it is still unusual.

I'm just confused, man. What on Earth happened?

[-] Reach@feddit.uk 3 points 1 year ago

I imagine the details will remain withheld, so I am just thankful the boys made time to share their feelings and help us process the shock too. I’m sure they’ll make space in their streams to talk it over with us soon as well. Sad stuff, and so unusual for it to be so sudden without any graduation period.

[-] Syrc@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Man. No explanation, no graduation stream, no anything? And both at the same time? That’s way too odd. I didn’t follow them but must be a hard hit for who did. Hope this isn’t a sign of things going badly inside the EN stars management.

[-] AnonTwo@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

This was really unfortunate. I feel like aside from them being very talented that they were also really pushing boundaries with their collabs. Plus both of them had models redone fairly recently (including Vesper getting one from Pako, really hurts)

[-] hark@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Dang, two of my favorites gone. I hope the best for them in their future endeavors as well as continued support for the remaining Tempus boys. Not that anyone asked, but Hakka is my favorite in HolostarsEN now.

What happened tho. Why 2 at the same time?
