Posting a survey to Google that tracks users of this platform is the last thing I care to participate in. I don't represent anyone other than myself.

And that is fine. It is fully up to each individual to vote or not. Lemmy isn't supporting votes (yet), so we discussed different options. Google forms is the one that was chosen.
