I mean, I've had a Reddit account for 13-14 years, maybe even longer, as I was a lurker who bookmarked different subreddits, prior to making an account. In those years, I have commented maybe 5 times in total. So you dont get to tell me what to do, and I certainly won't be commenting on this post.

This. I never commented on Reddit and will continue to do the same here. No one can change my mind!

Honestly the only thing that's holding me back from using Lemmy is that it not having a good app. I truly tried both Jerboa and Connect.

Jerboa for me crashes a lot and Connect doesn't have a good content separation guides.

But I will be sticking at lemmy for the long run anyway

OK, guess I'll comment then.

This is not a strictly commercial network. Do we really need useless comments or posts just to increase some stats numbers? I'd think about quality contents instead.

Agreed. Quality > Quantity in this case

I am not getting notifications for replies to my comments on android, I have tried jerboa, summit, liftoff, thunder, and connect for lemmy

Am I missing something here? Are push notifications not implemented yet?

[–] Aardonyx@lemmy.one 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Notifications have been very spotty for me on Jerboa (not tried the others) but they are implemented. Just not always effectual for some reason.
