Check your player settings on Android, and make sure that it is set to use the Integrated Player in the client settings.
Wow, thank you thank you thank you... Feel like an idiot now, that worked.... But still don't understand why the app was using the web player by default
In addition to checking the official apps player settings, I found Findroid can direct play a lot more files than the official app.
