There are old climbers and free solo climbers. But there are no old free solo climbers.
Seems like a darwin award to me. That shit is super crazy dangerous.
I can understand the joy of bringing your body to go to the boundary and a bit beyond. For me it end far before tackling a cliff. More like balancing over a beam across a creek. But I can’t understand how one can take the risk of your own death or the harm of others.
The harm of others is exactly right. I couldn't bring myself to do anything that could kill me, much less to make my family suffer my loss.
That is one point, but I thought of the rescue guys who have to go into the wall to pick up the body. Can be in a very unsafe place. Or the other drivers on the road in the case of driving a motorcycle at the limit.
Jeez, this is awful.
Turns out the freedom is limited, they still have to obey gravity.
I have to believe their final thought was something like, "I wish I hadn't attempted this".
Someone ran out of micromorts.
The climbers are pretty shitty people, since the survivor and the body had to be found and airlifted out.

9. No link shorteners.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
