Sorry, I didn’t even realize what magazine this was. The article sucked me right in.
A favorite part of mountain lake camping is finding a creek to chill your packed warm beers in. 30° outside but they’re icy and cold by the time you’ve set up camp and started a fire. Not a European but I used Celsius, so I hope you don’t mind.
