I think Palworld got all the attention because of the Unreal Engine 5 graphics and the gun memes. It's not nearly as polished or Pokémon-like as Cassette Beasts. Its success also proves that people are lying when they're saying they prefer Pokémon 2D sprites because of their charm, compared to lifeless 3D models. Because Palworld's 3D models are even worse than Game Freak's.
I like both 2D and 3D if they're made with heart. Hell, Metal Slug is one of my favourite games because of the sprite art. But if you mean just Pokemon, it depends on the gen.
That’s has some awesome SMT vibes. Collecting monsters and killing god is always a cool combo.
It def has some of the better parts of SMT/Persona elements as inspiration.
Nonstop bangers in the soundtrack, too
I had mixed feelings on the strategy or lack thereof, but the music, aesthetics, and structure were good.
When I started hearing about Palworld again recently I thought about going back to Cassette Beasts to finish it.
It has angry Dwebble in a witches hat, I'm convinced
Have you seen it's alternate, Magikrab?
I have now and I love it.
I stumbled across it a few months ago and really liked it. The story was compelling and exactly the length it needed to be. Short enough I never got bored but long enough I got explore everything I wanted too.
