I wholeheartedly disagree with this comparison. Newfoundlanders are super kind and welcoming like most Maritimers.

This comparison is just so mean to them, you should apologize.

Newfoundland isn't part of the Maritimes. It's part of Atlantic Canada, but isn't a maritime province. Same way that BC is in the West but not part of the prairies.

This is a false equivalent .... as an Ontarian, some of the best Canadians I've ever known were Newfies.

Canada was made more whole, much stronger and a hell of a lot funnier when Newfoundland joined us in 1949.

I'd fight any Newfie to win that argument and have a good laugh about it too.
