Do people paint lying down?
And on white carpet??
I like how that bottle is so easy to tip over and is right by her knee just waiting for an involuntary movement as she shifts from one uncomfortable position to the next
I think they were trying to emulate someone painting their nails - see the advert claiming it’s as easy to paint shoes as it is to paint your nails? Oftentimes it’s a downright contortion trick to paint one’s toenails hahaha
The smaller image on the bottom gives me that impression even more.
shoes live down low man. you gotta meet em in their element. duh
Oh i see, we don't want to spook em. Thanks for the tip
Do you do it standing up?
I do it from behind against the wall
Oh, we can update the ad!
Now change your ~~shoe~~ carpet color… as easily as your ~~nail~~ shoe color!
Surely painting your shoes like this didn’t work well.
Now with more lead!
the thing about lead paint, it fucking looked good and it went on sooooooooo easy
And it tastes delicious! (I’ve been told)
Precisely why it got banned
Stupid government trying to keep me away from tasty lead!
That one is interesting. Could be a nice way to reuse shoes with wear marks. I wonder why it didn't become a common thing. Was it impractical or had toxic stuff? has anyone around here ever seen it when it was for sale?
I'd wager like with any paint, even with a perfect application, it would scuff and peel easily. Thus becoming unattractive while ruining your previously more attractive shoes?
It's still a thing. I websearched for 'recolor shoes' and there's lots of products
Do try it but on a protected surface, while wearing gloves. Halloween is the perfect time. I made some black pumps red for a costume once, it worked very well.
I'd bet materials science is 10 leaps ahead of what it was then. :)
might depend on what you mean by ahead. teflon and asbestos, and lead, etc. all made better products for the lifetimes of the products users. there was a little balancing problem with them though
My butthole is clenching at the thought of paint on that white carpet
that's a way to put it
"valid in Canada at slightly higher prices"
