Shitty Movie Details

Share your favorite movie (and other motion picture media) details, potentially with a shitty twist.

To be clear, this is a place for satirical and meta^2^ references. Not really the actual movie details, unless they're truly stupid or have strong meme potential/background. "Oh hai Mark" kind of stuff. Tho sometimes even these can span a good debate.

For maximum funni, include full name of the movie, its release date and all the detail right in the title of the post.

Try to avoid actual shit and other nasty stuff. Mark nsfw when appropriate.

In Starship Troopers 1997, a convicted murder is sentenced to death via an online live streamed execution for public entertainment. This is a reference to the fact that this isn't fiction anymore.

Fascists see people satirizing fascists and think "damn that's low🔑 cool"

They get called idiots for clapping and they applaud that too. I'm starting to think satire doesn't work and you kinda just have to kill their leaders and hit them until they shut up.

They genuinely do

Just watched Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay and the main villain is a dumbass Homeland Security goon who doesn't care for rights and is absurdly racist. There's a scene where he is star struck meeting Neil Patrick Harris and thanks him for inspiring him to join Homeland Security after seeing Starship Troopers.

Movie is from 2008. This has been a long time coming. The war on terror and the invasion of Iraq was barely more intelligent than what is happening now.

The movie was about a fascist government so....... checks out.

The Orville’s “Majority Rule” is feeling more and more like a cautionary Twilight Zone episode than a quick jab at Reddit culture.

Not quite the same...the dude was captured, tried, convicted, and executed in the same day.

Wonder if they even got the right guy?

You think that won't happen in the states, once Republicans do away with what's left of the rule of law?

Oh, no it will. I give it six months

Bootlicker watching a government sanctioned snuff film: "I'm doing my part!"
