It should be able to, but it's important to remember it's less one single audit, and more a shit ton of smaller ones.
If Navy owes the Army 100k, that's 100k off on both sheets, for a 200k discrepancy even tho the money is just sitting with the wrong agency. And there's a bunch of those going both ways.
Keeping it straight costs money, you end up paying a bunch of people to move money around like Nvidia is doing with AI.
If you look at how the money moves between Nvidia and chatbot companies, you see everyone's gross revenue is high because they're selling shit to themselves.
If someone did one single audit of the DoD, where +100k cancels out -100k, I don't think it would be that far out of balance. And then we'd have to evaluate if paying people to resolve it is even worth it.
Like, long story but the government said I owed them money and eventually I paid, $0.01 more than they wanted. For over two years I got super fancy official trasuery checks a couple times a month.
That was a complete and total waste of our tax money, but the people I overpaid just cared about that penny on a balance sheet.
What we should do is just stop giving agencies money directly. Give them the equivalent of a line of credit, that the government pays. It sounds like it won't do anything if you're not familiar with the federal government.
But almost anything that gets done involves at least one agency paying another agency. With a line of credit the government just pays the difference at every reconciliation.
That's a shit ton easier to keep track of, because it's just large regularly scheduled transfers backed up with a giant statement of what each charge was to/from that agency.
If a company can't pass an audit, it gets bailed out
We actually can't afford another war. They're just willing to put the country further into to debt if it means they get to kill more brown kids.
brown kids
USA are not racists in this regard. They are eager to pay Putin to kill Ukrainian kids (who are not brown) too!
There's no color that the USA won't invade, and we have no problems with killing white kids. We were founded on killing white people and have bombed every color.
Nah, you'd have to pay insulin for half of a city to spend as much as you'd pay for killing a thousand school children. A single neighbor won't do it.
Sounds like a purity test to me. If you don't vote for the AIPAC backed democrat then you are basically voting more dead kids. /s
