thats gotta be a chimera right?

Usually chimerism in cats presents as split down the middle vertically - if this is chimerism then it's exceptionally rare, even amongst chimeras.

I can’t find any chimeras or calico cats that look anything like this, so I’m gonna go with hidden option c or d: it’s AI or someone painted their cat.

I've never seen a calico with such a distinct pattern like that. The cat literally looks half ginger tabby, half tuxedo. Definitely a chimera.

While my cat doesn't have as big distinct patches of color, she also has solid black fur (sprinkled with tiny red specks) and her orange head spot shows a tabby pattern. Their genetics are similar, just the expression is different.

Nah totally possible to be a normal calico, just that she has the a/a agouti gene so the black fur shows up completely black. Orange fur always shows up tabby, regardless of the agouti gene

C~c~ = Total brain cells in the cat

N~oc~ = Number of orange cats in the world

C~nc~ = Number of brain cells in a normal cat

C~c~ = (C~nc~ + 1/N~oc~)/2

🍊️ = orange proportion of the cat

C~c~ = (1 - 🍊️) * C~nc~ + 🍊️ * 1/N~oc~
