The hybrid 12m buses cost 800k USD here, after fleet pricing. They are not cheap.

Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
Sweet. I get picked up by a $35 million vehicle with almost 10,000 horsepower, multiple employees, and a restaurant on board. Usually very punctual and never stuck in traffic.
Ah, lucky. I love the $35 million dollar, 10k horsepower vehicle. Mine didn't have a food car but train commutes are my favorite commutes. The Providence line was cursed though, always getting stuck or trolled by another train and therefore delayed. For hours sometimes :(
Is that really a car?
My sister insists her SUV which gets to skirt around environmental rules because it's classified as a light truck is a "car". That's pushing it, I think. This bus is a motor vehicle, but it has more wheels than a car, and carries far more passengers than a car. It doesn't have to follow the same safety regulations that cars do (although it has some regulations of its own).
Sheik's son studies in Prague. He writes a letter home, saying: "I'm sad to see my favorite professor commute by tram while I'm driven around in a Mercedes." A week later, a check for €3M comes with the note: "Go buy yourself a tram too."
It really is a shame how expensive private trains are
The number used to be way lower when the joke was created. I think T3 trams were being made still
This joke was good the first time I saw it
for me, it's gpod right now, as this is is the first time I'm seeing it!
You are lucky!
Did you forget to include the actual URL?
lmao I feel so dumb... I did it without thinking, in autopilot mode :D I should have checked
Btw the link I wanted to share was https://xkcd.com/1053/ (I also edited my previous comment)
Jesus this was the most hilarious mistake I've made in a while :D
example.com is my favorite xkcd
I feel so dumb for failing to post the link, but I also feel very proud that a fellow blahaj.zone user got the reference ❤️
(I laughed hard for your comment!)
Red 600hp vehicle!
You pay for a twice daily ride share? Damn, big spender!
My city went fare free during COVID and managed to get a grant to stay that way 5 more years as a pilot. Super cool and feels like living in the future and I take it everywhere if I can.
I mean if you can afford to live in Boston you must be doing pretty good.
the secret is living way the hell out of the city and spending 1+ hour commuting in on the 300k vehicles that pick you up
