Former Tory minister defends UK decision to enter war in podcast with US rightwinger and Putin sympathiser

The former Tory minister Jacob Rees-Mogg has found himself defending Britain’s decision to fight against Adolf Hitler after inviting the US rightwinger and Vladimir Putin sympathiser Tucker Carlson into his home for an interview.

During the encounter, Carlson repeatedly suggested the west was to blame for inviting aggression from Russia and said of the prospect that Britain could have lost to Hitler: “Who cares?”

Rees-Mogg, who lost his parliamentary seat in 2024, appears to have agreed to host Carlson’s podcast show after carving out a post-politics career as a commentator.

These two shitstains deserve each other.

I think that's exactly what this was about. A former political pundit and a former politician set up a private interview to create a sensationalist dialog in a mutual struggle to stay relevant in a world that is leaving them behind.

Otherwise known as "fascist propaganda operatives engaging in psychological warfare"

I think it's time we stopped teaching the Nazis as great villains and start portraying them for what they were: loosers who somehow took power in a major country and proceeded to fuck up the entire world.

"Nazis are evil" doesn't dissuade enough people and it attracts some. I think we should try Nazis are incompetent fools who never ever get pussy. Let Matt Walsh and Tucker Carlson try to rehabilitate that.

As we can see with matchmakers in the US having a fee to find a tradwife for neonazis of around 25k$, they already do not get pussy and are losers.

That’s the extreme right’s goal isn’t it, cleansing fascism of its stains? Pretending it was just some unfortunate happenings here and there, some rogue people who spoiled the pure waters of God’s Own Politics, fascism.

So that after that, calls can again go out to purify society, killing the ‘impure’ and obey the Leader and his minions.

Only verging? What was Tucker feeling more shy than normal?

I'd nearly forgotten about the haunted pencil

There aren't many genuinely good things at this point in this timeline, but never having to think about Jacob Rees-Fucking-Mogg is definitely one of them.

Last I heard of him was about a reality tv-show about him and his family. Made me think "who green lit this one?" for about 3 seconds before I forgot about it.

I saw him in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, trying to catch children.

A dogfight between fascists about whether to give priority to antisemitism or genocide against Palestinians. Too bad mutual annihilation wasn't the outcome.

This politician's lack of clarity and decisiveness is disgusting. Tucker Carlson literally has defended this eras Hitler.

I believe there's an error in your error

Good catch. I need to check speech to text a little more thoroughly
