This is a supportive community for all transfeminine or questioning people. Anyone is welcome to participate in this community but disrupting the safety of this space for trans feminine people is unacceptable and will result in moderator action.

Last year I had several mental health episodes which led to telogen effluvium (stress-induced temporary hair loss). It started last February. I saw a dermatologist and got on minoxidil in July. When did the shedding stop for you? The plan is I go back for a check-in this coming January and taper back off July 2027.

Everyone should know that minoxidil is super dangerous to cats. It can kill them easily. Use caution around cats. Meow meow.

Oh my god I have cats. I knew it was toxic but thought just washing my hands would be enough. But they can get sick just from residue from a fucking pillow?? Holy shit. Thanks for this.

Oral minox for me. Ive been dealing with lots of body hair all my life im sure i can just shave a bunch

The body hair isn’t that bad for me. My arms got a little hairier. I was most worried about my face.
