very nice place and photo but I don't think this counts as liminal
LiminalSpace
Liminal spaces are the subject of an Internet aesthetic portraying empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, and often surreal. Liminal spaces are commonly places of transition (pertaining to the concept of liminality) or of nostalgic appeal.

How so?
People could come there to sit down and chill out. Liminal implies that people only pass through and never come there because that place has something for them. A liminal space isn’t a destination. It’s for passing through.
Regardless, these pictures have some interesting architecture.

From the sidebar. This place is abandoned. Nobody can come in and sit here to chill out.

This is where my confusion came from, I see a clean place with chairs and tables so to me it looked like a functioning place that was just close or empty at the moment.
Look at the windows though. Haven't been cleaned in a long time.
I agree with you, this looks like a place that gets used. Not abandoned at all to fit with the modern twisted definition and not at all with the original definition of an "in between" place like a hallway or foyer.
If the only criteria is "no people" then I've got a thousand post-construction, pre-use photos I could post. But an empty conference room or theater isn't liminal
Where is this building? And what is it?
It looks a lot like the library/glass gardens in my dream town.
