BadEmpanada is a massive reactionary contrarion that's only ever correct in the same way a broken clock is.
Tbh, BE is a giant reactionary who has spread a lot of anti-AES propaganda in his lifetime. Also a giant transphobe. Which makes Hasan look even more pathetic when BE has a more principled stance on electoral politics and antizionism than him.
Calling BE reactionary might be some some of the biggest cope. The whole transphobia thing is culture war nonsense from Hasan fans he's not even anti trans and frequently defends trans people.
Naah. This is even the consensus among actual MLs in tankie communities. He has literally done anti-AES propaganda. He also made a video on how Maduro stole the Venezuelan elections and then never provided any evidence. He is also fairly very anti-china on various instances. He has also denied the Argentina's long-running genocide of Black Argentinians.
And transphobia of people like BE is not a made-up accusation. A lot of great scholars in their field suffer from it (e.g. Nirm Finkelstein, Paul Cockshott etc.). BE is not even in their League.

Unfortunately, no it's not been given up on yet. Even over the last few days, there have been struggles about it on some of the other ML instances. Apparently hexbear even has a contingent that enforces a "Delcy is the Second Coming of Lenin" line and labels you an ultra for getting upset about what happened to Venezuela. It's wild. I hate to say anything bad about those instances where libs can see, because hexbear and grad are mostly excellent despite all the dipshit lemmitor teeth-gnashing about them. But they do sometimes get infested with terrible party lines and fall into the trap of defending bad analysis, though that's hardly exclusive to them, as your own comments here prove.

Lol, no. Finkelstein is a world renowned published academic who has been vocal about Palestine for decades. BEmpanada is a post-breadtube left-leaning drama youtuber. They are both problematic in a few ways and have some terrible, even reactionary takes in addition to their good work, but a drama youtuber doesn't even come close to the kind of influence Finklestein has.

This is next level brain-rot. BE will never achieve a 100th of Finkelstein's research on Israel's zionist industry. Finkelstein at least doesn't condemn Hamas like other liberals.
Finkelstein opposed BDS for a very long time and has had many other major flaws. His arguments are generally very weak And he doesn't push the boundary on anything very much.
The only thing he's got going for him, opposed to all the Palestinians and brown people you never heard about, is that he's a white Jewish guy. So when he says the thing they have been saying for ten years, ten years later, he suddenly sounds very smart and intellectual.
Listening to Finkelstein repeatedly saying "the atrocities of October 7" over and over again makes me cringe.
That's not to say that Finkelstein is bad as a whole, I think he's a net positive for the Palestinian cause, but he certainly isn't this epic frontrunner-based guy you think he is.
